The Human Resource Department, led by Ms. Joan Cherotich in partnership with the Office of the Registrar (Administration and Planning), headed by Dr. Shivani Patel, organized a capacity-building programme for staff in the Transport Department aimed at enhancing professionalism, workplace efficiency, and personal development.

The participants received training on office etiquette and office procedures, record keeping, financial literacy, and mental health awareness in the workplace. The sessions equipped the drivers with practical knowledge to improve service delivery, strengthen record-keeping practices, manage their finances effectively, and promote their overall well-being.

The certificate award ceremony was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, who commended the Human Resource Department and its partners for spearheading the initiative. She described the programme as a valuable investment in staff development, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and upskilling in enhancing service delivery. She also reminded the drivers that they are ambassadors of the University whose professionalism and conduct play a key role in shaping TUM's image.

The participants welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful. They noted that the training had broadened their understanding of workplace professionalism, strengthened their record-keeping skills, enhanced their financial management knowledge, and increased their awareness of the importance of mental well-being in fostering productivity and overall job performance.
