The University Senate

The Senate Consists of:

  1. i.The Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Chairperson;
  2. ii.The Deputy Vice-Chancellors;
  3. iii.The Principals of each Constituent College;
  4. iv.The Principals of each college within the University;
  5. v.The Registrars;
  6. vi.The Deans and Directors;
  7. vii.The Dean of Students;
  8. viii.The Chairpersons of Departments (CoDs);
  9. ix.The University Librarian;
  10. x.One member of the Academic Board;
  11. xi.One representative of each of the College Academic Boards appointed by the respective boards from amongst its members;
  12. xii.One representative of each of the Faculty/School board appointed by the respective boards from amongst its members;
  13. xiii.Two representatives of the Students' Association from both gender;
  14. xiv.

    The following members shall attend only regular Senate Board meetings and Senate Committees related to their areas of jurisdiction:

    1. aThe Finance Officer
    2. bThe Legal Officer
    3. cThe Manager ICTS
    4. dThe Supply Chain Manager
    5. eThe Estates Manager
    6. fThe Human Resource Manager
    7. gThe Corporate Communications Officer
