After embracing technology-based virtual learning to help students interact with their lecturers in the safety of their homes as government took precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19, TUM has administered exams to students in faces to mitigate the impact of closure as a result of COVID-19.
The University has strictly adhered to the Ministry of Health protocols like 1.5m social distancing by ensuring that lecture halls are occupied by a third of its capacity, washing of hands, wearing of face masks by everyone within the University.
The exams have been going on over the past few weeks and so many units have already been completed with a lot of success. In the facial reopening, students come in groups on school basis to sit for their exams. The program which started with the finalists on 5th October, 2020 will end with 2nd year students by 27th November, 2020 and thereafter have freshmen Sept 2020 intake come in on 30 th Nov to clear the semester in mid-January, 2021.

The university has introduced all the students to the e-learning platforms to complement learning as an alternative mode of delivery during this period of the COVID-19 pandemic. The e- content and e-library has been made accessible to students off campus to support effective learning. Course work, including Continuous Assessment Tests (CATS) and assignments are administered using the ODEL platform.
The University has proposed the setting up of virtual lecture amphitheaters by assigning email addresses to teachers and learners by subject and level of study to boost smooth leraning.
