Sara Serem-led Salaries and Remuneration Commission has pitched tent at Technical University of Mombasa for job evaluation exercise.
SRC which is working alongside Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) in the Job Evaluation Exercise will conduct training to some staff appointed by Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Laila Abubakar as Job Analysis Team members.
The JAT members will undergo job analysis capacity building two-day training at the Hospitality and Tourism Center (Kiziwi) set for Tuesday and Wednesday April 4-5, 2017 before assisting SRC representative Milka Wamai in the exercise.
Wamai on Monday took the management through the SRC job evaluation exercise which kicks off this Thursday in all the types of jobs in the university then submit a report to the commission.
The letter appointing TUM staff reads in part: “…As a member of the team you will work alongside Salary and Remuneration Commission (SRC) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the Job Evaluation Exercise.”
The trained staff, according to the appointment letter dated March 21,2017, are supposed to collect information about each job in their respective department and validate the job analysis questionnaires which will be used for data collection.
Administration and Planning Registrar Dr Kilungu Matata on Tuesday morning confirmed all was set for the training of the appointed staff and the exercise.
“Plans for training and the entire exercise have been finalized. Everything will go as scheduled,” he said.
