Technical University of Mombasa students may have just found a good and appropriate way to make money while still in the university.
This follows an entrepreneurship and social talk focusing on research, innovation and opportunity with a goal of reducing poverty, marginalization and loss of human dignity.
Addressing the students at the assembly hall on Wednesday, Tsavo Labs founder Micah Shako who was flanked by dean of students Joel Awino and university counselor Madiha Salim, motivated the students to become social entrepreneurs urging them to be vibrant in actualizing business ideas.
He urged the students to work smart and to be effectively and efficiently involved in business noting that it was only possible to change live by dreaming and implementing ideas into a full grown business.
“Changing lives is something that will just come to you like that, ensure you are efficient and effective in the ideas you generate,” he said.
Awino urged the student to generate and implement business ideas by writing business proposals and selling them to businessmen as well as taking to online marketing with the aid of their smart phones.
“If you want to make money you need to generate and implement ideas. Online marketin is thwe ion thing at the moment and can be supported by your phone,” said Awino.
