The Active Directory domain, TUM.edu, is the centralized Windows Directory Service for authentication of user, computer, and group objects. Active Directory is used primarily for the centralized Windows environments.
Wireless Access Point
We are currently managing several wireless access points within the TUM campus, most of which are open to access for faculty, staff and students upon presentation of their laptop computers for the necessary configuration by the Network Adminstrators Office.
We are in the process of expanding our wireless reach to Kiziwi Campus
IP Address Management
All IP addresses to be used by computers within the university college are automatically allocated by our Dynamic Hostname Control Protocol (DHCP) server, all a client needs to do is plug in to the wired network sockets, or just connect via wireless access .
